
Andrew
Marshall was raised on his family’s ranch
just west of Niobrara, Nebraska. Mr. Marshall attended
Mount Marty College where he was a Presidential Scholar.
After three years at Mount Marty College he graduated
suma cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
and a minor in biology. Mr. Marshall then attended the
University of South Dakota School of Law where during
his second year of law school he was a published staff
writer in the South Dakota Law Review. His article entitled
Johanns v. Livestock Marketing Association-Government
Speech: It’s What’s for Dinner! can be found
at 53 South Dakota Law Review 364 (2008). During his final
year of law school Mr. Marshall was selected to serve
as the Editor-in-Chief of the South Dakota Law Review.
He received a Juris Doctor in 2009. Upon graduation he
commenced work at Kennedy, Pier & Knoff, LLP. He maintains
active licensure as a Registered Nurse and has worked
for Avera Sacred Heart Hospital as well as the South Dakota
Human Services Center, both in Yankton. Mr. Marshall is
a member of the State Bar of South Dakota and the Nebraska
State Bar Association. He is a member of The American
Association of Nurse Attorneys (TAANA) and the Health
Law Section of the American Bar Association.
