DAVID
KNOFF was born in Marshall, Minnesota, on February
9, 1971. He received his B.S. from South Dakota State
University in 1994. David received his Juris Doctor in
1997 from the University of South Dakota. David is a member
of the State Bars of South Dakota and Nebraska. He is
also admitted to practice before the United States District
Court for the Districts of South Dakota and Nebraska and
the United States Supreme Court.
David previously served
as Secretary for the Yankton County Bar Association and
District 21’s (North Dakota and South Dakota) Representative
in the American Bar Association’s Young Lawyers
Division.
PROFESSIONAL EMPHASIS
AND EXPERIENCE
Mr.
Knoff pursues a general practice with an emphasis on probate
and estate planning as well as civil litigation. David
is also a court-authorized family law mediator and mediates
civil cases.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Mr.
Knoff is presently a City Commissioner for Yankton, South
Dakota. In his role as City Commissioner he is on the
boards of the Economic Development and Employee/Union
Committees. He is also a member of the Yankton Morning
Optimists Club and is on the Board of Directors of the
Historic Downtown Yankton, Inc. David is also involved
with Yankton’s annual Ribfest as both a committee
member and a competitor.
