STEVE
PIER was born in Huron, South Dakota, on April
22, 1953. He received his undergraduate degree from South
Dakota State University in 1975. Steve received his Juris
Doctor in 1981 from the University of South Dakota. He
is a member of the State Bar of South Dakota and is admitted
to practice before the United States District Court for
South Dakota.
Following
law school, Mr. Pier commenced practicing law in Yankton.
He served as Yankton County Deputy State Attorney from
1985-1990.
PROFESSIONAL EMPHASIS
AND EXPERIENCE
Mr.
Pier specializes in the areas of civil litigation, personal
injury, wrongful death, products liability, workers compensation,
and insurance law.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Mr.
Pier is currently active with the Yankton City Planning
Commission (Chairperson, 2002-present). He is also Chairperson
of the Board of Trustees for the United Church of Christ
in Yankton.
