STEVE
PIER was born in Huron, South Dakota. He received
his undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University
in 1975. Mr. Pier received his Juris Doctor in 1981 from
the University of South Dakota. He is a member of the
State Bar of South Dakota, The South Dakota Trial Lawyers
Association and the Nebraska State Bar Association. He
is admitted to practice before the United States District
Court for South Dakota and the Eighth Circuit Court of
Appeals.
Following
law school, Mr. Pier commenced practicing law in Yankton.
He served as Yankton County Deputy State Attorney from
1985-1990. He has been the attorney for the City of Hartington,
Nebraska since 2006.

AND EXPERIENCE
Mr.
Pier specializes in the areas of civil litigation, personal
injury, wrongful death, products liability, workers compensation,
insurance law, and probate and estate planning.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Mr.
Pier is currently active with the Yankton City Planning
Commission (Chairperson, 2002-present) and the Yankton
City/County Planning Committee.
